About the Company - A leading international player in the Battery Energy Storage (BESS) space is seeking a Head of Bids/Bid Manager to lead and manage all bid activity across the Spanish market. The company delivers full-scope solutions for utility-scale battery storage projects, encompassing both the battery supply and complete EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
About the Role - Reporting through to the Senior Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth in Spain by overseeing the development, coordination, and submission of high-quality, commercially sound proposals that win business and reflect the company’s technical and execution capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Working very closely with the Senior Director of Sales, you will lead and help drive the end-to-end bid process for large-scale BESS projects across Spain.
- Take the lead in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to products and projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, procurement, legal, and finance to deliver compliant, timely, and compelling proposals.
- Managing sales opportunities in CRM systems, providing accurate forecasts, and supporting the sales cycle.
- Ensure continuous improvement of bid processes, tools, and documentation.
- Represent the company in negotiations and bid clarifications when required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience leading bids or tendering processes within utility-scale renewable energy, ideally including BESS or EPC environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Deep understanding of the Spanish energy market and regulatory landscape.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Engineering or technical background preferred.
