Expressions of Interest are invited for a Head of Department - Junior Secondary at Marsden State High School.
This is a temporary full-time position for Term 3, from 19 May 2025 until 27 June 2025, with potential extensions not exceeding 12 months. The role is on a temporary basis until 27 June 2025 unless otherwise determined, and the position is open to Expressions of Interest.

About The Role
As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading curriculum development and the school department in creating a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embedding socially just practices into daily school life.
- Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engaging in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Building partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
- Being future-oriented and strategic.
- Understanding legislation and policies affecting the school department, students, and staff.
- Managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve department goals.
