Great opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor with excellent presence in the Oil & Gas and resources sector with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects.

A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Planner to join their growing business in Naval Base WA.

You will be working on the delivery of oil and gas, mining and industrial projects including fabrication, assembly and installation works. Experience in planning for oil and gas projects with scope including decom, asset integrity, remediation and upgrade (onshore & offshore) would be ideal but having any fabrication experience working in complex detailed environments would also work.

Projects will be from smaller up to $40m+ and candidate will need to have P6 experience and be able to put a detailed schedule together and have an understanding of project methodology.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally from a Tier 1, 2 or 3 background
  • Knowledge of construction planning and programming principles, standards and methodology
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and high attention to detail and quality of work
  • Team player but also able to work autonomously
  • Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Expertise in a number of planning and scheduling software packages, you will be using P6
  • Construction Safety Induction (white) card
