Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11212
Schedule: (7a – 3pm – 5x8), Some weekends
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Weekly Pay: $2059

Duties:
• Assess patients’ immediate and ongoing care needs, including physical, psychosocial, and discharge planning aspects.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide and supervise direct patient care, ensuring it aligns with medical regimens and nursing standards.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Support nursing staff development through orientation, mentorship, and participation in educational activities.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while engaging in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Skills:
• No experience required, some preferred. Ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
• Knowledge and Skills: Good interpersonal skills.

Education:
• Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology (with one year of perioperative experience), or equivalent training as a Surgical Technician in the Armed Forces with five years of experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
