About the role

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Data and Insights Analyst to join our growing Strata Excellence team. This full-time, permanent position can be based in Brisbane or any of our branch locations across Australia.

Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for transforming data into powerful insights to drive informed decision-making, improvements, and value delivery across the business. You will provide expert analytics and insightful reporting, analyzing patterns and trends to ensure that continuous improvement initiatives focus on delivering significant benefits. What you’ll be doing:

  1. Data Detective: Gather data from various internal and external sources, identify data needs, and establish reliable and accurate data pipelines.
  2. Trend Spotter: Perform in-depth analysis to uncover trends and patterns, applying statistical techniques and tools to interpret complex data.
  3. Visualisation Guru: Develop and update Power BI dashboards, creating interactive visualisations that make data insights easy to understand.
  4. Insight Communicator: Create detailed reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to business leaders.
  5. Strategic Advisor: Provide data-led insights to help prioritize projects and initiatives, supporting leadership with project planning and mapping.

About you:

  1. You have strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies, with proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualisation.
  2. You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
  3. You have proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel.
  4. You are recognized as a Power BI expert!
  5. You have experience working with large datasets, including data quality checks and data cleansing.
  6. You have a natural curiosity about data and enthusiasm for insights, visualisation, and storytelling.
