We are seeking passionate Graduate Speech Pathologists to join our industry-leading, Graduate Program kicking off January 2026 with roles available across Wollongong. You will be supported across all steps of your journey to develop your clinical expertise across the NDIS and the community. As a Speechie in our team you will help participants from age 6 to 65, across language, mealtimes, dysphagia, aphasia and AAC.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  1. Conduct meaningful assessments and design impactful therapy plans in diverse environments, from clients' homes to day centres, parks and our clinic rooms.
  2. Collaborate with a committed MDT to develop innovative solutions for your clients.
  3. Build enduring relationships with clients and witness the lasting impact of your work.

Support and Development

  • Full week of graduate-specific induction sessions covering community practice, the NDIS, and life at Better Rehab.
  • Support from colleagues, including a buddy from the previous graduate cohort.
  • Mentorship with a discipline-specific 1:1 supervisor for clinical guidance and support.
  • 6 months of dedicated induction, training, and upskilling.
  • Paid study leave: 4 days per year.
  • Resources including laptop, phone, and assessment tools.

Work Environment and Flexibility

  • Flexible work options including online, in-clinic, and community settings.
  • Flexible hours and the ability to flex off upon completing client work.

  • Paid parental leave: 8 weeks for primary carers, 2 weeks for secondary.

Candidate Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology, graduating in 2025 or January 2026.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • NDIS check, Working with Children Check, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
