Job Description
HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly clients living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church.
Could you bring prayer, Scripture, and a listening ear to someoneseeking spiritual connection?
We're looking for a pastoral care volunteer to visit a gentlemanof Anglican faith once a fortnight. He cherishes prayer, Bible reading, andonline church, and would be deeply blessed by someone who can also offerCommunion. With a background as a fireman, he’s a fan of country music, footy,and meaningful conversation.
Your presence could be a powerful ministry, apply now to walkalongside him in faith.
You’ll supplement andcomplement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may:
* Support people to meet their spiritual needs
Skills required for this role:
- High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
- Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training- Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.
North Turramurra,Wahroonga, Greenwich, Nth Sydney, Northern Social Clubs face to face SCS
Date: Starts Wednesday 7 th May, concludesWednesday 2 nd July. Note there is a break week on 28th June.
Time: 2 – 4pm
Location: Nth Turramurra, Leighton Lodge Training Room.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
