This role also involves providing technical expertise and support to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues to ensure optimal machine serviceability, both verbally and in writing.This position is open to candidates based in Perth, Adelaide, or Sydney.Why Join Normet?Work for a renowned global OEM and be part of an industry-leading team.Training and professional development, including access to global training programs.Employee Benefits Program “Thrive” – perks, discounts, and cashback incentives.Employee Assistance Program supporting you and your family.Employee Engagement Survey “We Care” – to understand and act on your priorities.Tenure and Team Player Awards recognizing your accomplishments aligned with our values.About YouTrade Qualifications in Auto-Electrical, Hydraulics, Diesel Fitter, or Licensed Electrician (dual trade highly regarded).Certificate IV Training and Assessment is essential.Extensive diagnostic and/or repair experience with Normet equipment (or similar).Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a similar role with extensive underground mining experience.Experience in facilitating training sessions and delivering presentations.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High-level industry knowledge, especially in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems related to Normet equipment.Basic knowledge of shotcreting, spraying processes, and charging processes (non-qualified).Self-driven, detail-oriented, with good time management.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.Willingness to travel interstate (initially 40-50%, then 60%) and overseas occasionally.Flexibility to participate in the Technical Support Roster (approx. 1 weekend/month).The successful candidate must have full working rights in Australia, pass a pre-employment medical, and obtain a National Police Clearance before starting.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop training materials and protocols for product commissioning, operator training, technical and simulator training, and basic understanding of concrete technology and explosives.Promote and deliver training to mine/tunnel operators and maintenance personnel.Provide technical expertise and support to Normet staff and customers.Create a training calendar to ensure all training needs are met.Conduct inductions and training sessions for new and current employees.Prepare monthly activity reports and identify new opportunities.Support troubleshooting, fault finding, and technical support to enhance machine performance.Collaborate with engineering and service teams on testing and adjustments.Assist in creating operational procedures and documentation.Act as an OEM subject matter expert during incident investigations and risk assessments.If you are passionate and experienced in technical support and training, and eager to join a growing global OEM, we would love to hear from you.We thank all applicants; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Come and share your courage to shine with us!
