Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Basis Administrator with over 8 years of expertise in SAP Basis administration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing SAP systems across various operating systems, including Unix/Linux and Windows Server. This role will involve overseeing database management, ensuring high availability, and developing disaster recovery plans to protect our critical SAP environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP System Administration:
  • Administer and support SAP environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Manage installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches for SAP systems, including SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system health and availability.


Database Management:

  • Oversee database administration for Oracle, Max DB, SAP HANA DB, and SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Conduct regular backups, restores, and performance tuning to optimize database operations.
  • Implement best practices for database security and compliance.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
  • Administer High Availability Cluster architecture to ensure continuous operations of SAP systems.
  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive disaster recovery plans to safeguard data and system integrity, utilizing Oracle Data Guard.
  • Monitor and maintain disaster recovery solutions to ensure they meet business continuity requirements.


Collaboration and Technical Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, application support, and infrastructure teams, to resolve technical issues and enhance system performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SAP Basis team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation to address critical system issues outside of regular business hours.


Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards regarding security, data protection, and system management.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP system administration on various Unix/Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Extensive experience in database management for Oracle, Max DB, SAP HANA DB, and SQL Server.
  • Proven experience in administering High Availability Cluster architecture, preferably with knowledge of Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).
  • Experience in developing and executing disaster recovery plans, with proficiency in Oracle Data Guard.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
