The Role

After revolutionising financial services, we are now transforming the advertising industry. With the launch of advertising products like the Afterpay Media Network, we lead in commerce media in Australia and New Zealand.

We seek a dynamic and strategic B2B GTM Marketing Manager, Afterpay Advertising to join our team. This role blends sales enablement—equipping our sales team with tools, training, and resources—and industry partnerships and events—planning impactful events to drive pipeline, brand awareness, and engagement.

You will be the primary contact for GTM of the Afterpay Advertising suite. The ideal candidate is a strategist and doer—thriving at the intersection of sales, marketing, and operations, bringing creativity, organisation, and energy. Based in Australia, reporting to the GTM Director in Sydney.

Responsibilities

  1. Communicate the value proposition through advertiser-focused messaging supporting sales efforts for agency and brand partners.
  2. Work with sales leaders to understand the sales process, build narratives, and develop sales materials to position Afterpay Advertising effectively.
  3. Create diverse sales materials aligned with business objectives, ensuring consistent messaging and addressing gaps.
  4. Collaborate with data and insights teams to develop compelling proof points demonstrating Afterpay's positive impact on merchant partners.
  5. Develop case studies and testimonials highlighting partner successes.
  6. Plan and execute an integrated events program—conferences, trade shows, owned events—to support brand leadership, engagement, and pipeline growth.
  7. Manage logistics and relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and partners for event production.
  8. Coordinate with internal teams for event strategy, promotion, follow-up, and lead management.
  9. Engage with industry partners to meet engagement objectives.
  10. Lead speaker programs to secure keynote and speaking opportunities.
  11. Measure event success via KPIs like attendance, engagement, leads, and pipeline influence.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years in marketing, with 3+ years supporting sales and retention teams in B2B marketing preferred.
  • Experience in developing strategic messaging, brand positioning, and value propositions.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with experience creating sales content and RFP submissions.
  • Proven success in partnerships, marketing, and event management.
  • Ability to work with data and insights to craft sales narratives.
  • Advertising industry experience is a bonus but not essential.
