What you will do:
As the Assistant Park Manager, you will report to and assist the Park Manager in managing seamless park operations through maintaining high standards in product, guest services, and interpretative activities. Although Sydney Lakeside is a mid-sized park, it has a small but efficient team. You will be hands-on in all areas, ready to assist with housekeeping, front office, grounds, and back-of-house operational tasks as needed.
You will find your balance in a 5-day working week, sharing on-call hours on set days each week. Your responsibilities include:
- Displaying a hands-on approach to managing the park
- Valuing all employees and maintaining leadership credibility by exhibiting high personal ethics
- Preparing monthly reports for the General Manager
- Ensuring thorough park and department inductions and ongoing training for all employees
- Liaising with the General Manager on maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects
- Monitoring and maintaining high safety standards for guests, visitors, and employees
What you will bring:
The ideal candidate will have relevant hotel, resort, or park management experience, with initiative, organizational, and advanced planning skills. Experience in staff management at all levels and understanding of awards and certified agreements are essential.
You should demonstrate a flexible attitude, a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, and hands-on leadership. Effective communication and management skills for both employees and guests are crucial.
