Purpose & Overall Relevance

In this role, you will lead the Inbound Logistics and Customs Operations for the Pacific cluster, overseeing the flow of products from origin to destination, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery to adidas distribution centers or customers. Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to improve efficiency, visibility, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the inbound product flow from factories to distribution centers or direct-to-customer shipments.
  • Manage scheduling, tracking, and updates for inbound shipments to ensure on-time, in-good-condition arrivals.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with shipping lines and service providers.
  • Develop shipping instructions and SOPs for inbound shipments.
  • Provide forecast and visibility reports to stakeholders.
  • Establish KPIs for service providers and conduct regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Identify process optimization opportunities to reduce lead times and costs.
  • Coordinate with Order Fulfillment teams for demand-based prioritization.
  • Lead inbound logistics team performance management and development.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and correct HS code application.
  • Monitor port operations, container movements, and storage to prevent delays and costs.
  • Handle claims and product issues efficiently.
  • Track financial performance including forecasts and budgets.
  • Support logistics projects and tendering processes for new providers.
  • Approve invoices related to origin, transport, and customs services.
  • Collaborate with Outbound Fulfillment to manage airfreight needs and costs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 6 years in international logistics, with 2+ in leadership.
  • Strong customs clearance and shipping regulation knowledge.
  • Analytical skills with data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Teams; SAP and Power BI advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Expertise in logistics principles, supply chain, warehousing, transportation.
  • Independent work ethic with team collaboration skills.

Requisite Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 6+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Experience in a multinational environment.
  • 2+ years leading teams.
