We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Lead to lead and oversee all aspects of security licensing and Resource Contractor (RC) compliance across our operations in Australia.
This role is critical to ensuring that Certis maintains full compliance with all regulatory obligations under relevant security legislation, labor hire laws, and Fair Work Australia standards. You will lead the team responsible for managing business and individual security licenses, subcontractor due diligence, and internal compliance governance.

Key Responsibilities
A. Regulatory & Licensing Compliance
- Ensure all required business and individual security licenses (across all states and territories) are valid, renewed on time, and compliant with state-specific legislation.
- Maintain a central register of licenses and proactively manage expiries and renewals.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., NSW SLED, VIC Police Licensing, etc..) on any updates or issues.
B. Resource Contractor Compliance
- Oversee vetting, onboarding, and ongoing compliance checks of RCs, ensuring all meet licensing, insurance, and Fair Work requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date RC database, ensuring all RC staff hold valid security licenses, right to work documents, and relevant certifications.
- Conduct regular audits of RC partners and support resolution of any identified non-compliance.
C. Compliance Governance & Risk Management
- Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with national regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations into compliance breaches and incidents; ensure corrective actions are taken and documented.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Risk, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk management role, preferably in the security or labour hire sectors.
- Relevant compliance or auditing certifications will be well regarded.
Skills
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Australian security legislation, labour hire licensing, and Fair Work obligations.
Experience
- Proven experience managing licensing and contractor compliance at a national level.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment.
