Our Oilfield Services business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control energy extraction assets. Our Wireline Services deliver high-quality E-line or wireline data acquisition services at the wellsite.

As a General Field Engineer – Wireline / E-Line, you will be responsible for delivering a wide array of wireline logging services offered by Baker Hughes at the wellsite in South Australia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deploying various wireline services from Baker Hughes' portfolio at the wellsite.
  • Managing the safe rig-up and rig-down of wireline pressure control operations.
  • Acquiring and delivering high-quality data to meet client objectives.
  • Supervising and managing a moderate-sized wireline crew.
  • Communicating effectively with client representatives at the wellsite.
  • Advising the customer on logging operations, basic data interpretation, troubleshooting, and wellsite analysis.
  • Supervising equipment at the wellsite and shop for logging and completion services.

Work Experience

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent.
  • Have 7+ years of experience in wireline or E-Line operations in land or offshore environments.
  • Possess thorough understanding and competency in oilfield wireline operations and services (advanced cased hole & open hole services).
  • Demonstrate Pressure Control Competency and familiarity with Wireline Surface Pressure Control Equipment through industry-recognized training.
  • Hold a valid driving license (local or international).
  • Possess licenses in shotfiring, radiation, etc., as applicable.
  • Have passed language proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge English Advanced, or OET (required for work permit application).
