Position Details

Effective July 1, 2024, the Department of Paediatrics at SickKids is recruiting for a full-time, permanent faculty position as an Academic Clinician in the Division of Endocrinology.

The Division of Endocrinology is highly active, with activities in General Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Calcium and Bone Health, including specialty clinics such as Transgender Medicine, Obesity, Gynecology-Endocrinology, Multi-Disciplinary Urogenital, Late Effects Endocrine Oncology, and others. The division promotes research, academic performance, and clinical excellence. SickKids is affiliated with the University of Toronto and focuses on paediatric health outcomes locally and internationally.

The role involves clinics in General Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Calcium and Bone Health, participation in inpatient services, out-of-hours on-call schedules, academic rounds, teaching, and scholarly activities. Evidence of teaching excellence is required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English
  • MD, MBBS, or equivalent
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable qualifications
  • Completed subspecialty training in Endocrinology
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

Compensation and Application

Salary ranges from $230,000 to $285,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position offers a benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, disability, pension, vision care, academic allowance, and relocation support.
