Horse Trainer/RiderLocation: Cranbourne, VICSalary: $70,000 – $77,000 per annum (above award, depending on experience)We are seeking a skilled and motivated Horse Trainer/Rider to join our team. The successful applicant must be capable of riding 8–10 horses per morning, with a strong focus on pace work, timed gallops, and jump outs.Key Responsibilities:
- Ride and educate thoroughbred horses with a particular emphasis on timed work and jump outs.
- Assist with the training and preparation of horses for racing.
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and adherence to WHS standards.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time professional experience as a rider/trainer, OR 2 years full-time experience with a relevant qualification.
- Proven experience and knowledge of thoroughbred horse training and handling methods.
- Ability to train, ride, and educate horses to a high standard.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to follow instructions and relay information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (foreperson experience highly regarded).
- Sound knowledge of safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment, and operation of relevant training equipment.
