It is an exciting time at The Kids Research Institute Australia as we continue to evolve from our origins in the 1980s, aiming to create a world-class child health research hub. We recently changed our name to The Kids Research Institute Australia (formerly Telethon Kids Institute) and remain committed to our shared vision of happy, healthy kids!

Join our values-driven organisation as a Discovery Centre Volunteer.

The Opportunity

Volunteers are vital to our mission at The Kids, working closely with researchers and the community to make a positive impact on children, young people, and their families.

  • Assist the Welcome Crew & Education and Outreach Team in operating The Kids Discovery Centre and related programs and activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and operational support for visitors engaging with interactive games in the Discovery Centre.
  • Help implement The Kids schools’ program by supporting students with hands-on activities.
  • Conduct science activities on the Discovery Centre trolley for patients at Perth Children’s Hospital.
