Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model
- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.
Job Description
About the Role
This position is in the Education Policy, Research and Evaluation team, which undertakes educational research and evaluation across all the aspects of physician training. The team is responsible for the evaluation of the implementation of curricula, methods of assessment and teaching and learning, and a clinical educator program.
This position works with the team to undertake the full life cycle of qualitative and quantitative educational research and evaluation regarding physician training, in conjunction with stakeholders. This is inclusive of design, conduct, dissemination and supporting knowledge translation.
Key accountabilities include:
- Support the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of program evaluations such as surveys to Fellows and Trainees.
- Support the design and conduct of qualitative and quantitative research in key areas of specialist medical education.
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Provide support for consultation on College-wide research and evaluation projects.
- Contribute towards external and internal publications and presentations.
- Contribute towards preparation of reports and other professional documentation produced by the College.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. education, health) that includes training in qualitative and quantitative research methods, or significant relevant experience
- Basic proficiency in data management and statistics using applications such as Excel and either SPSS or Power BI
- Basic proficiency in qualitative analysis using NVivo
- High level written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Tact and sensitivity to confidential issues
- Sound problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently
- IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms
