The PRADCO Hunting Division is looking for a motivated, results-driven Regional Sales Manager to drive the sale of hunting products within the eastern region of the United States. Responsible for both top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability, this person will be charged with maximizing the availability of our brands and products throughout their region through a team of experienced sales representatives. Backed by the full support of PRADCO’s Birmingham office, this person will have access to leading edge market data, distribution systems, sales technologies, as well as full marketing, finance, and operations teams. Essential Functions

  • Develop comprehensive and individualized account/region strategies to grow sales through both existing and new accounts.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to call on individual dealers and accounts.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of his/her team and create a high-performance environment that gives his/her sales team members the responsibility and authority to achieve goals as well as hold them accountable for attainment of those goals.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close sales.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our product lines that includes a tactical understanding of their setup, use, and benefits.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with buyers, senior buyers, and owners.
  • Monitor regional and national trends in the hunting industry, including products, categories, and competitors, that could provide us with opportunities or threats.
  • Review available POS and market sales data where available, and elevate concerns or insights from the field to appropriate sales management.
  • Provide weekly detailed reports tracking your region’s progress and opportunities.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Marketing, Business or related field- or a minimum 5 years similar sales/trade experience
  • A minimum of 4 years sales and/or trade experience, managing a $20MM book of business
  • Advanced-level technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 50% Travel
  • Live within the Eastern United States region

     

Preferred Requirements

  • A background in the hunting, fishing, or outdoor sporting goods market.
  • Existing relationships with senior leadership in major accounts.
