Student Worker - Lindner College of Business

The Lindner College of Business of Business (LCB) is at an exciting inflection point on the path to preeminence.  The College has an established national reputation for excellence in several academic areas across its undergraduate, graduate, and online programs. A combination of research and teaching excellence distinguishes the College as a leader.  In 2019, LCB will move into a state-of-the-art new building that represents a tremendous opportunity for the College to bring innovative approaches to business education and further elevate the role of the College at UC, in the City of Cincinnati, and in the national landscape.

 

The Lindner College of Business is seeking an E-Learning Student Worker to

 

  • Assist with directing and producing/editing multimedia materials for course applications. This will include coordination of all media and technical elements such as narration, computer graphics, audio and visual effects, recording, and mixing.
  • Utilize web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software and systems for online course development.
  • Review instructional materials for online courses for consistency and sound instructional design principles.
  • Engage with a growing team to develop and manage online course development processes.

 


Ideal Qualifications:

 

  • Display creativity and a good understanding of technical processes.
  • Illustrate effective operation skills in the use of specific systems such as MAC OS X, Linux or Windows.
  • Possess a moderate level of competency in using a range of relevant software applications (i.e.: Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator; InDesign; Photoshop; Director; Camtasia; Articulate; Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) etc..).
  • Demonstrate a desire to work on a project from conceptualization to closure.
  • Display excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours for undergraduate students and 5 credit hours for graduate students), with the exception of summer semester, or will be a registered student during the next academic semester for summer work.  Must be age 16 or older.
