We are currently seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to join our US Crop Team, within the Agricultural Solutions business (AP) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Commercial Operations Manager – RTP, NC

The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing those responsible for program development & management, distribution sales support and rebate fulfillment. They are responsible for ensuring that the FRC audit compliance is being followed and implemented and that we are adhering to BASF policies. This position is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely payment of program incentives approaching $100 million.

This position has a strong blend of conceptual and analytical thinking, problem identification and solution development. You must gain a strong understanding of how BASF does business, how our customer's do business and be able to think strategically and independently to transform those concepts into actionable tools or solutions. You will work with internal stakeholders and agencies to develop/maintain/support internal sales planning and tracking to make sound business decisions on a daily basis in-season. You must have the ability to think creatively within a given box and/or outside the box as needed. Be able to articulate creative and innovative ideas to peers and various levels of leadership to drive change and impact to an enhanced customer experience.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Responsible for P&SS rebates and that programs adhere to commercial policies.
- Understanding and ensuring that business processes and rules are being adhered to.
- Reviewing rebate payment calculations to ensure they have been calculated correctly.
- Managing the team that is working with partner’s and providing information related to their rebate payment details and programs for P&SS and supporting the SAM’s that manage these accounts.
- Working with internal and external auditors for FRC and SOC testing.
- Ensuring the rebate fulfillment partner is meeting our needs and making timely and accurate payments.
- Working with Marketing Managers and Regional Sales Managers on the programs that will be rolled out.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Communications or Business.
- 10 years’ commercial business experience and at least 5 years’ experience in controlling, auditing or business law with an advanced degree or certification (CPA) or in lieu of Advanced Degree/CPA, 8 years’ experience in controlling, auditing or business law.
- Experience with working with and general understanding of Commercial Policies and revenue recognition.
- Experience working with multiple functional teams and developing or leading strategies and tactical roll-outs to enhance success.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and web-based applications.
- Experience in setting strategic direction.

- Experience interacting and working closely with Sales / Marketing personnel and Customers under a range of situations
- Experience across multiple industries and/or multiple facets of the agricultural industry
