To provide music therapy through direct clinical services as well as through the coordination of music care/listening services provided by other members of the interdisciplinary team.




  • Provides direct service to patients and families.
  • Provides consultation, education, and support to the interdisciplinary team on music therapy.
  • Participates in the development of the interdisciplinary team plan of care to include music therapy when appropriate.
  • Attends interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care conferences as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintains records of music therapy utilization and related activities for quality assurance, program development, and policy and procedure review and revision.

  • Respects different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
  • Experience in end-of-life care preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintains auto insurance and valid driver’s license in accordance with agency standards.


    Education and/or Experience                                                              

    Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy required. Masters level preferred. At least one year health care/hospice required                           


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Board certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists required. Certificate completed of the American Therapy Association’s Clinical Training Supervision Workshop. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
