We are looking to hire a [[Regional Head of Supply Chain Solutions]] to be

responsible for supporting and executing the SCS strategy; this will involve the merging of the previous departments (Managed Solutions & SCS) into one team and be the driver of Panalpina’s go-to-market approach, also acting as the “voice of the customer” within the nominated region.

Key function of the Regional Head of Supply Chain Solutions will be to support the sales opportunities, sales processes, value propositions, product development, design & engineering and commercialization in order to achieve the assigned financial targets and objectives set out in the SCS strategy.

Through transparency and collaboration with key internal stakeholders and functions across the business act as subject matter expertise, orchestrate competing interests between internal profit centres to ensure we become more customer centric in our approach.

Professionally represent the Supply Chain Solutions team both internally and externally in all engagements and in alignment with Panalpina’s principals. Responsibilities

Strategy / Product Development

* Deliver the SCS strategy and growth plan within the nominated region
* Organizational review and changes to ensure right resources are positioned to drive success
* Understand, influence and develop PA regional capabilities to enable greater impact, market penetration and deliver sustainable customer value
* Ensure that commercial offering is comprehensively calculated with transparent GP assessment
* Develop innovative E2E Solutions and differentiators to underpin the SCS commercial proposition
* Regionally review, update and develop SCS Internal and external material, processes and capabilities
* Support Top target list & Pipeline aligned with IVs business plans and leverage of account plans
* Supply Chain Solutions strategy imbedded and clearly understood on all levels within PA
* Best practice sharing ‘Supply Chain Solutions’
* Reporting and monitoring of regional supply chain solutions performance
* Support Regional Opportunities to make sure that SCS are fully engaged and involved

Business Implementation / Customer Onboarding

* Influence and work in collaboration with other departmental heads to shape the standard processes from conversion of sales opportunities through to operational execution, deliver to our commitment

Commercial

* Subject matter expert for Supply Chain Solutions with selective strategic regional customers
* Work with RH IVs and RH of Sales & Marketing to develop, deliver Sales pipeline; SCS alignment to support engagement
* Work with the wider SCS team to create commercial material (presentations, case studies, rate cards etc.)
* Support commercial teams with SCS customer engagement, proposals, tender process
* In collaboration with Corp stakeholders look to introduce ‘best-in-class’ Account Management practices and structure
* Attend periodic review meetings with selected Key Account customers
* Work in conjunction with Solution Engineering & design to launch new product offering to market
* Promote multimodal cross functional selling within SCS team
* Periodic regional reporting for Supply Chain Solutions
* Ensure that PA business is fully aligned and supportive of SCS Commercial offering

Training & Support

* Manage, mentor, support and develop the SCS regional team
* Support and upskill the commercial teams so they are confident in upselling SCS to customers
* Ensure SCS ‘Toolkit’ for commercial teams
* Assist in the development of E-learning modules for SCS
* Support potential system/IT application developments and roll-outs.
* Expand the knowledge about SCS product offering across the organization
* Identify training needs and develop and communicate training schedules for respective regional staff

General Management

* Participate as a committed and engaged member of cross functional projects and initiatives
* Identify talents and ensure constant development of skilled manpower to satisfy continuous demand of efficiency and professionalism as well as for succession planning

Qualifications

* Extensive and current knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Air and Ocean freight forwarding, Warehouse Management, Material Handling and logistics technology / tools
* In-depth understanding of End-to-End International logistics concepts, services and value propositions, in a multimodal environment
* Process engineering and improvement methodologies
* Continuous improvement programs
* Process & Quality management
* Forwarding and Supply Chain Management Systems
* Freight forwarding operations
* PA application architecture and dataflow
* Global SCM market (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)
* Local laws and regulations Skills
