And at the end of the day, we know we will always rise to the occasion because we truly operate as a team.   We currently seek a Manufacturing Manager to provide leadership for the activities and personnel in the assigned Value Streams to obtain a safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operation; increase the ratio of value to non-value and eliminate waste in the overall supply chain from start to finish; and ensure that the value stream meets or exceeds customer requirements.    This role requires strategic vision and execution. Must be able to plan and adjust production on a weekly basis while understanding those effects on annual plans. Also needs to have the ability to inspire and motivate team members as well as resource management skills to deliver against performance objectives focused on continuous improvement and people development within the value stream to achieve world class performance.   A wide-range of responsibilities offers new challenges every day in this exciting role: Leads the cross functional, production based value stream team in the preparation and implementation of operating plans and strategies consistent with promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values while supporting the business objectives/goals.    Tracks daily performance.  Verifies Operational Leader counter measures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets.  Ensures production control boards are being used on a daily basis.    Responsible for understanding latest industry processes to achieve world-class performance within the Value Stream.   Alignment with the Sales & Marketing Team with the ability to understand the core market segments, participate in various levels of interactions with our customers   Recommends and implements changes regarding production capability, tooling, machine replacement and staffing to support production plans and cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, equipment, etc., to continually improve manufacturing productivity.       Participates, monitors and maintains adherence to established departmental budgets, both expense and capital.    Develops open lines of communication to continually monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implements appropriate actions with input from Human Resources.       Oversees requisitioning, placing, training, directing, appraising, promoting, disciplining, or other actions relating to the employees assigned to the Value Stream.   Provides, implements, and administers timely quality assurance and engineering control functions to ensure product reliability and conformance to customer and federal specifications in the most effective and economical manner possible.   Ensures the proper application of established employee regulations, policies, wage and salary administration policies, and safety and health regulations.          Provides coaching, information, ideas, feedback and encouragement to team leaders, team members and operations leaders to promote the growth and development of the value stream team.       Assists with developing and implementing current and future state value stream maps and continuous focus on utilizing best practices to drive efficiencies and productivity gains.        Instrumental in new process and product development and implementation. Working with different Value Streams or support departments to develop the best practices.     Assures a clean and safe working environment for all employees, maintaining 5S standards.  Addresses unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.  Conducts safety training for employees.  Participates in accident investigations as required.           Drives a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.         Accountable for Value Stream nonconformance resolution NCR (Red Tags & CAR) within the agreed timelines.   Requirements   Education / Training: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, minimum 3-5 years manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredInvolvement in an external manufacturing forum/group   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredStrong interpersonal and problem solving skills requiredComputer literate with strong analytical skills requiredKnowledge of Lean principles requiredPromotes teamwork and collaboration Engages, inspires, and motivates team membersBuilds and sustains relationships internally and externallyHaving the comfort and confidence to work directly with the customerDrives for results         MCL is a family-centered business that generously rewards hard work and initiative.
