    THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

    This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1901000 and is part of the KY USPFO, National Guard.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

    AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
    AREA ONE: All qualified permanently employed excepted technicians of the Kentucky Army National Guard.
    AREA TWO: All qualified members of the Kentucky Army National Guard to include temporary and indefinite employees.

    Responsibilities

    As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN GS-2005-7, you will manage supply activities such as inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, and other related activities. Review procurements through the appropriate STAMIS and vendor based web sites. Analyze requests to ensure items being ordered are authorized. Reconcile all records to ensure validity of the stock record account. Process inquiries regarding supply status. Coordinate with supply sources on materials needed to alleviate delays. Validate due-in transactions and research items delayed in shipment. Ensure proper types and amounts of supplies are available to support requirements. Review inventory on-hand, requisitioning objective, contingency stocks, and develop courses of action based on these conditions. Develop reports to ensure that adequate and accurate information is provided. Develop reports that track on hand supplies to ensure accurate accountability. Analyze and recommend supplies for forward deployment/distribution. Perform other duties as assigned.

    MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
    This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard as a condition of employment.

    Military Grades: PFC - SSG

    Compatible Military Assignments: ECMF: 91 / EMOS: 36B, 51C, 88M/N, 89A/B, 92A/F/G/Y

    RANK REQUIREMENT:
    Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
    You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
    Wear of the military uniform.
    Position may require a pre-employment physical.
    May be subject to furlough actions.
    Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
    Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
    Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
    Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare eligibility.
    This position is located on a tobacco free facility.

    Qualifications
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
    Experience with a variety of supply actions requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
    Must have at least 12 months experience utilizing governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to supply management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information. Experience reconstructing records for complex supply transactions. Experience providing supply operations for storage management. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work, such as inventory management, excess property, storage management, etc.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Complete dates must be used for your experience. Example 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981 or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981. Use of year only will result in disqualification.
