Education & Experience

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0 – 2 years related experience and/or training, Technical Degree preferred

Skill / Technical Expertise

  • Must successfully pass Tennant’s Assembly Process Certification Training (HEAT) at the start of employment.
  • Must maintain HEAT certification.
  • Ability to recognize, communicate and document quality issues.
  • Must operate at standard productivity rate after completion of formal training.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute Method Layouts.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, torque guns and simple electrical devices.
  • Ability to navigate within Microsoft Windows.
  • Has a positive attitude and is a team player.

Primary Functions

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs., routinely lifts up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to follow all listed safety regulations.  This includes, but not limited to, wearing safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.
  • Performs simple build processes in the subassembly area(s) after completing formal on the job training.
  • Build processes are characterized by moderate build times (generally, up to 3 hours). 
  • Process is repeatable, requiring a moderate amount of troubleshooting and adjustment to safely build a quality product.
  • Complete work documentation accurately such as production orders, tags, and quality sheets. 
  • Performs housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized.
  • Understands and participates in continuous improvement activities.

Autonomy / Supervision

  • Operates autonomously with limited supervision upon completion of training.
  • Tasks are largely standardized.
  • Receives general work instructions.
