Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is to oversee the success of the pump, filtration, and specialty containment operations. Focusing on safety and effectiveness this role will lead all functions within the assigned branch and ensure the yards operations meet all expectations.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all operational positions, focusing on safety and efficiently preparing equipment for rental and service to customers.
  • Based on demand and forecast of equipment, will assign and schedule team to maximize time and ensure available fleet for to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee the rental process of the branch to ensure timely entry.
  • Will monitor all costs and vendor/third party usage to ensure effective use of resources and time.
  • Continually review the effectiveness of labor, systems, products and materials and makes adjustments as necessary. Implements best practices to make effective use of the team and resources.
  • Ensures that all equipment repairs, tank cleanings, inspections, etc. by the branch are done in accordance with OSHA, ANSI and manufacturer specifications.
  • Manage and maintain inventory at the branch, including rental equipment, rolling stock and repair parts. This also includes overseeing the scheduling of supplies for the yard.
  • Coach, train and mentor team to focus on safety, efficiency and high performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • Computer, telephone and electronic office equipment
  • MS Office Suite
  • Welder and Forklift, if needed
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Yes – Dispatch, Drivers, Service Technicians, and/or office team
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • 2 Years of operations experience
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state specific safety regulations
  • Forklift Certification preferred
  • Communicate clearly: verbal and written
  • Valid Driver’s License
