About this role:

You will serve as a key contributor to Americas Marine and Offshore’s Sales & Marketing team, focusing specifically on growing our Offshore Compliance business accross the region.

As a successful Sales Manager, you will work with the Americas Business Development team to analyse the area’s revenue potential, agree realistic sales targets for LR’s range of products and services, and successfully meet those targets in order to grow our client base. Key skills include account management and needs-based selling techniques, as well as proven track record in relationship bulding.

As a successful Marketing Manager, you will direct all activities that involve promoting the LR brand along with new products and services. Key experience includes social media outreach, event promotion, and good presentation skills for public speaking.

To succeed in all aspects of the role, you will need to be an excellent team player and demonstrate ability in leading,coaching and supporting the Area S&M managers across the Americas, in order to ensure their success in selling our offering of offshore services (including benefits and differentiators), effective territory generation, targeting and maximizing chance to win opportunities in accordance with our strategy.

It is encouraged and expected that you will continuously develop your technical knowledge in ways that are relevant to clients and industry.

This role will require travel that will often call for multi-day trips and, occasionally, travel on short notice to accommodate client schedules.


The best fit for this role will have:

  • Knowledge of the local client base, including ; ideally with an established local client network                                  
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; strong preference for degree in engineering or relevant field (e.g., naval architecture, ocean engineering, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the offshore industry, particularly gas technology, oil/gas production offshore and regulatory requirements for the producing assets (e.g. CVA, RBI), and the commercial factors that drive the industry (for the different Areas of the Americas geography). Understanding of Class and Certifying Authority's role in the supply chain.
  • Ability to participate in and add value to offshore compliance technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues, as well as on key industry panels and speaking events.
  • Provide required support in proposal preparation and evaluation of technical content.
  • Experience in a business development role based building strategic long-term relationships at all levels
  • Ability to effectively work with geographically and culturally diverse internal and external networks. Understanding of clients's requirements and RFPs: Fundamental understanding of Spanish/Portuguese will be needed.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to develop strategic action plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to proactively develop a network of key relationships internally and externally.
  • Understanding and experience in using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong resilience and ability to pursue long term goals.
