Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company has partnered with Slocum-Dickson Medical Group to identify their next Practice Manager. Today, the group employs over 70 physicians and 500 staff members. The Practice Manager will oversee daily operations of the satellite site(s) performing work-related duties as required. The Practice Manager will act as a liaison between the Rome Medical Group staff and departments, will identify, assess, and process clinical office based concerns and assume managerial responsibilities as assigned under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities: Coordinates the office flow of the Rome Urgent Care location inclusive of clinical, reception, billing, medical records and laboratory and other related entities Coordinates scheduling services to ensure that Physicians and Mid-level providers are physically present on the UCC premises and immediately available to work Maintain administrative records pertaining to the scheduling of all Physicians and Mid-levels and ensures Rome Medical Group (RMG) has access to such records Be responsible for implementation and enforcement within the UCC of the policies and procedures of RMG and the UCC Provide ongoing review of UCC policies and procedures and shall recommend changes to SDMG and RMG administration as needed Consult with RMG leadership on nursing, clerical and financial personnel and collaborate on developing policies and procedures for improving the delivery of services Identifies and notifies Chief Financial Officer and RMG Liaison of patient care issues and staff educational needs Acts as first line contact for any patient complaints and reports all complaints inclusive of those specific to HIPAA confidentiality and Corporate Compliance issues to the Compliance Director (either RMG or SDMG, as appropriate) in a timely manner Ensures the Director of HIS at SDMG is aware of any provider documentation issues-especially incomplete records Responsible for taking sick call from office employees and coordinating coverage as necessary Ensures that the employees have also called the general RMG sick line and notifies Chief Financial Officer or designee and RMG Liaison of coverage issues within the office Coordinates the staffing within the office utilizing cross-trained staff to cover within the UCC as needed Coordinates time away requests and notifies appropriate RMG Director/Manager if coverage issues are identified prior to approving time away Advise RMG on staffing and personnel needs and evaluation of individual personnel qualifications of persons providing or being considered to provide assistance and support in the UCC, and advise RMG immediately of any incompetence, deficiency, lack of ability, lack of proper training, or unexcused absences of personnel provided Advise RMG on the evaluation, supervision, and training of RMG personnel providing assistance and support in the UCC and shall assist RMG with scheduling work hours and training of such personnel Coordinate and control inventory levels to ensure facility is adequately stocked and all equipment in maintained and working. Notify RMG if any equipment in the UCC is defective, inoperative, in disrepair or if it needs to be replaced Performs other duties as designated by the Chief Financial Officer as the position develops Act as a float to SDMG departments if time and availability warrants Attends meetings as designated and facilitates necessary meetings and follow-up actions from meeting outcomes Serve on RMG board committees and task forces when requested by CFO Maintain good relations with the internal RMG community, including the UCC staff and the RMG staff, managers and Directors Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or Health Services Management preferred Must possess strong leadership and communication skills A minimum of 5 years experience in a physician office practice in a management capacity preferred Classification of work level: Heavy. Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computer, fax and telephone Requires hearing and vision that is adequate to perform job duties OnDemand.
