Position Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the assigned Manager, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debug documents and maintain those programs.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • 2 years experience as an Application Systems Analyst/Programmer.

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, preferred.

Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )

  • Codes, tests and debugs programs. *

  • Analyzes, designs, and make recommendations to improve existing systems and/or methods, and provide written, detailed reports of such. *

  • Generally responsible for system support. Ability to coordinate various systems. *

  • Assesses assigned user areas for efficiencies and effectiveness. Evaluates alternative services and technology solutions on an ongoing basis and assures cost-effective solutions. *

  • Coordinates the preparation of departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures, job functions, operating procedures, manuals, and system documentation. *

  • Maintains complete and up-to-date project documentation for all assigned projects. *

  • Assists with a variety of related projects on an ad hoc basis. *
