First Line Leader Finished Products

The Red River Mill is currently seeking a Front Line Leader for the Finished Products Area.  The Finished Products FLL is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a rotating shift of hourly employees either operating paper machines or recycle & shipping to ensure all department and mill goals are met.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide leadership on shift in safety, quality and efficient / reliable operations; managing work schedules; one-on-one counseling, coaching and setting expectations to employees in order to accomplish departmental as well as mill wide goals and corrective actions to address problems; ensuring coordination and communication across the area and with other areas; initiates and facilitates problem solving, promotes and drives 5S principles; models appropriate safety, integrity, and positive work attitudes and behaviors, follows-up and audits expectations and role understanding for all team members, is highly visible, willingness to grow in technical knowledge.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated commitment to safety, models, and promotes safe work behaviors; understands IP safety policies and procedures; ability to engage the workforce and supports change to meet business needs; demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills; self-motivated, displays initiative in identifying and completing tasks; sustained performance level over time, honest, predictable, consistent; able to analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams; effective decision making; .Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; five years supervisor and/or significant set-up supervisor experience required 

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Paper Finished Products area with extensive knowledge in processes; computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, reports, PI Process book and in-mill sharepoint sites.  Working knowledge of the labor agreement, language, and processes; coaching and training experience; develops others; strong organizational skills, can manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
