Under general supervision, preplans and executes or performs environmental and chemical testing and evaluation of chemistry and radiochemistry conditions associated with plant operations. Operates power plant auxiliary systems associated with plant chemistry operations. Maintains chemistry lab and count room, analytical instrumentation and in line monitoring on chemistry parameters and systems. Performs Radiation Protection work associated with Radiation Protection operations and systems consistent with training.



Must meet the Company's General Requirements, and in addition: Must successfully complete the Nuclear Technician Chemistry (1715) Modular Training Course and demonstrate the following: The ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out complex assignments; An aptitude for mechanical and technical work; Keen faculties of observation; Oral and written communication skills necessary for performance of the work. Must have successfully complete the appropriate PreEmployment Tests Must be able to qualify for an auto driver's license to operate vehicles in the State of New Jersey and meet as well as maintain  Nuclear's requirements for unescorted plant access.


DESIRED: Prior experience working in the nuclear industry •Bachelor degree in a Physical Science/Engineering •Associate degree in the field of Nuclear Technology •Graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program
