We are looking for a Supervisor to join the Mechanical and Electrical team in Mansfield.

*
You’ll:*

* Supervise the overall M&E Department and have direct line management responsibility for the Shift Teams (x4) and the Mechanical and Electrical Team Leaders.
* Oversee the Building Department in the absence of the Building Supervisor in conjunction with the Building Team Leader.
* Manage the subcontractors covering the maintenance of: All Engineering aspects including but not limited to, plumbing and pipework, electrical / mechanical repair, boiler and generator repair.
* Liaise directly with the Maintenance Manager or relevant Estates Officer and manage certain engineering maintenance elements of the projects such as pump/motor replacements, electrical and mechanical infrastructure repair and other engineering related activities.
* Represent Skanska Building Services at meetings both internally and externally.
* Participate in internal and external audits, as required, pertinent to departmental responsibility.
* Oversee the management of resources ensuring all CAFM related tasks are completed by Service Due By date and undertake random quality checks on completed works.
* Proactively manage the HR function of the Department ensuring all records are kept up to date and HR requests are acted on promptly.
* Support and implement new working practices and continued review of operational procedures to ensure safe and cost effective working practices are being implemented/maintained.

We’re looking for:*

* Wide experience and knowledge of the estates functions within a hospital environment.
* Ability to demonstrate a background in the supervision of both contract and direct labour, will be familiar with budgetary control procedures and have an ability to communicate, co-operate and motivate staff and colleagues at all levels and in all disciplines.
* A high level of flexibility and co-operation must be given in order to provide the quality of service standards required.
* Relevant Mechanical or Electrical qualification with at least 5 years’ experience working in an operational environment.
