Our food experience definition is unique: we see it as several multi-sensorial events that occur along the full length of the consumer journey with a product. Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, you will be the Utilities/Infrastructure Lead Engineer. You will spearhead the utilities and infrastructure stream for transformative projects. You will be an important player in planning, designing, and implementing efficient and reliable utility systems that adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards. You will work with project stake-holders, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure a seamless and successful execution. This is an onsite position in Cincinnati. Ohio.

In this role we need you to have the technical expertise and field knowledge of utilities systems, including steam boilers, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, and building management systems. You will need to stay abreast of the latest technologies and advancements in utilities and infrastructure to develop/maintain technical documentation for all utilities systems.

  • Lead and Influence Design and Build: Lead the Utilities Team. Foster collaboration within the utilities team, setting clear goals, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support. Help develop the utilities strategy for the facility, including steam, refrigeration, ventilation, compressed air, water systems, wastewater treatment, and building systems. Support the design and specify utilities infrastructure systems, including equipment selection, sizing, and layout. Contribute to the validation of the prepared detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for construction bid packages. Review and approve contractor designs and proposals for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.

  • Construction Management Excellence: Liaise with contractors and construction teams to ensure accurate execution of utilities installation and commissioning. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Manage and track project budgets and timelines for the utilities scope. Maintain a deep understanding of relevant regulatory requirements for utilities and environmental aspects. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from government agencies. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.

  • Project Coordination: Develop/manage the utilities and infrastructure project plan, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies. Lead/coordinate with other teams (engineering, construction, operations) and external stake-holders (vendors, contractors) throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project documentation and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Manage risks and proactively address any challenges that may arise.

You?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in utilities engineering, with a strong focus on project design and implementation.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple utilities systems, including their design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
  • PE license preferred
