Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist will perform visual and dimensional inspections of internal flight hardware. As needed, support the review and inspection of supplier-related hardware.
Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware.
Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality procedures and/or tools.
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist will conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation.
Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective/preventive action implementation and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
10+ years of industry experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment with at least 8 years in a quality inspection role.
Aerospace, space launch, military, or commercial aviation preferred. Internal auditing experience.
Quality Management System audit experience

Job Responsibilities:
Support engineering teams in managing material review areas and assisting with work order closure reviews on aerospace systems and hardware
Develop continuous improvement activities and conduct compliance surveillance assessments
Monitor the replacement of facility and engine hardware ensuring all appropriate safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) precautions and maintenance procedures were adhered to
Perform test stand surveys, ensuring that all areas are within current and applicable standards
You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of client Engines test operations

Mandatory Skills-
Minimum of 3+yrs related Quality experience and relevant education in a related technical field
Quality Assurance experience supporting engine test activities, manufacturing, and launch operations environment
Knowledgeable in technical documentation, system configuration, and assemblies
Familiarity performing AS9100 or ISO9001 audits within a Quality Management System
Ability to support test and launch operations for nonstandard shifts as required
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired Skills-
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Mid-quality level experience in maintenance, modifications, dimensional measurements, and inspections
Quality Management System audit experience
