Certification in Addiction Medicine successful applicant will work part-time providing comprehensive psychiatric services re: concurrent disorder patients at the Addictions Treatment Clinic. In de ochtend staat de community meeting gepland, waar alle fellows samenkomen. Je checkt samen met een Counselor in bij de fellows en staat hierin je kracht omdat je je de vorige avond nog in hebt gelezen over de behandeling van de fellows. Na deze sessie is het tijd om afscheid te nemen van de fellows die hun 10 weken behandeling hebben afgerond, een bijzonder moment. Ze laten de plek achter zich waar ze hard aan zichzelf hebben gewerkt. Als coach ben jij een groot onderdeel geweest van deze periode. Je viert dit moment dan ook als grote broer of zus mee. Jullie maken er een onvergetelijk afscheid van en je wenst de fellows veel geluk en liefde toe. Woensdagmiddag staat zowel voor afscheid als voor welkom heten. Je geeft de nieuwe fellows een warm welkom rondom het kampvuur. Daarna zit jou shift erop en geniet je van een aantal vrije avonduren waarin je even voor jezelf kan gaan sporten in de CrossFit of je vrije moment doorbrengen met een andere collega-coach. Jullie zijn een soort tweede familie, dus brengen veel tijd met elkaar door. Moe, maar voldaan stap jij in je een vrije avond, waarin je even hebt gegeten met collega’s en gesport hebt, sta je weer fris en fruitig op om 06:30 uur. Eerst nog even koffietje drinken om wakker te worden en daarna ga je met je collega’s de fellows energievol wakker maken. Aan jou vandaag de taak om een actieve ochtendgym te organiseren. Je bedenkt de leukste moves en motiveert de fellows om actief deel te nemen. Een fellow wil niet meedoen, en dat gedrag herken jij uit jouw eigen tijd uit de kliniek, daarom voer je een motiverend en activerend gesprek met deze fellow. Om 07:30 uur schuif je, samen met 20 fellows en je collega’s, aan bij het ontbijt.Daarna staat er een sportieve activiteit gepland, deze keer gaat de aandacht naar samenwerken en hier bedenk je een passende activiteit bij. Er is geen vast draaiboek, maar je speelt in op groepsdynamiek en verbindt hier een passend thema aan, die je concreet maakt in de activiteit. De fellows werken aan een samenwerkingsopdracht, leren boks technieken in de Dojo en gaan nog even trainen in de Crossfitbox. Na afloop van deze dag rapporteer je in het kort het ging met iedere fellow en hoe de groepsdynamiek deze donderdag de ochtend ben je vrij en slaap je lekker ’s lunch-time! Jij als coach opent en sluit de lunch met een praatje over een herkenningsverhaal uit jouw behandeling bij Yes We Can, daarna neem je de middagplanning door. Tijdens het eten houd jij samen met je collega’s het overzicht op de groep. De coaches zijn namelijk gericht op een herstelgericht klimaat op de groep Na de lunch lopen jij en je collega coach samen met een aantal fellows naar het klimbos en begeleid je hen bij het klimmen en het overwinnen van hun angsten in het hoogteparcours. Je helpt en motiveert de fellows én je leert ze om op een gezonde manier om te gaan met hun emoties. Zelf weet je als geen ander hoe spannend het was om voor de eerste keer het hoogteparcours te doen, dus deze ervaring zet jij dan ook vaak in deze de avond organiseer je als coach een keuze-avond waar het thema ‘verbinding’ centraal staat. Zo worden er verschillende activiteiten georganiseerd waar dit thema centraal staat. Na zo’n spannende en enerverende dag mogen fellows vanaf 22.00 uur naar hun kamer, maar natuurlijk eerst nog een avond snack én de dag afsluiting. Iedere avond begeleidt jij de fellows tijdens de dagsluiting. Hierin kijken ze terug op hun dag, wat er goed ging en wat ze morgen anders gaan doen. Samen met je collega’s bespreek je de dag na, wat stiekem altijd juist heel gezellig is.Omdat het zaterdag is mogen de fellows én coaches een uurtje langer slapen. Nadat de fellows zich sportief hebben aangekleed stappen jullie in de bus om te gaan hiken in een natuurgebied in de omgeving. In het weekend zijn de activiteiten nog wat uitgebreider en kunnen jullie met de fellows alles toepassen wat ze deze week hebben geleerd. Na een avontuurlijke dag schuiven jullie aan bij het avondeten wat door onze eigen keuken is verzorgd.. Jouw shift zit er rond 20.00 uur op. Je gaat nog even met je eigen team samen zitten om de shift te evalueren en de overdracht voor te bereiden. Daarna ga je lekker naar huis om te genieten van je vrije vinden het belangrijk dat we er altijd zijn voor onze fellows zodat zij niet dagelijks verschillende gezichten zien, maar juist een prettige, vaste basis. Daarom werken jongerencoaches met 4 dagen op/af shifts. Je werkt dus 4 dagen waarbij je in de kliniek verblijft en daarna ben je 4 dagen vrij. De start van je shift schuift iedere week een dag op. Week 1 werk je bijvoorbeeld van dinsdag tot en met vrijdag, de week daarop van woensdag tot en met zaterdag, in week 3 werk je van donderdag tot en met zondag, tel zo maar door. We vragen je om de avond vóór je shift start, in de kliniek aanwezig te zijn voor de overdracht van het andere team.Vrij momentTijdens je shift van 4 dagen heb je iedere dag een vrij moment (de ochtend, middag of avond). Op zo’n vrij moment kiest de ene coach ervoor om nog even een paar uur te slapen, de andere coach kiest ervoor om even af te schakelen met sporten in de gym voor onze collega’s. Of men zoekt elkaar op in het coachhuis op het terrein van de kliniek waar in de gezamenlijke ruimte mogelijkheden zijn om bijvoorbeeld een potje te darten of tafelvoetbal te spelen. Ook heb je één avond in je shift de mogelijkheid om naar huis te gaan. Een oud-fellow van Yes We Can Clinics én je hebt de tien acties doorlopen. Je leeft minstens twee jaar in herstel en bent 21 jaar of ouder. Bij een verslavingsachtergrond vragen we om minstens twee jaar abstinent en clean te zijn.
