Full time | inTechnology Distribution | Australia Posted On 12/06/2023 Job Information Technology Work Experience 4-5 years City Bilinga State/Province Queensland 4225 Job Description Due to phenomenal growth and increasing market demand for Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), we are searching for a result-driven, self-motivated Wi-Fi and RTLS Engineer. The role's primary focus is to apply your technical expertise (what you bring and what we teach you) to the sales process driving pre-sales and post-sales outcomes as part of our distribution activities. The role includes delivering professional services, including consulting, training and implementation services for our Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) technologies. Our goal is to make you an expert in RTLS and be recognised as such in the marketplace. The ideal candidate would be a fast learner, a self-starter, customer-focused, and someone with a genuine interest in technology, wireless networking, wireless solutions, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Ultrawideband (UWB). A working understanding of 802.11 wireless is key. A broad base of experience in areas such as IP networking (routing, VLANs, etc.), computer software systems and servers (including virtual environments), is highly desirable. Previous RTLS experience is a plus, as is experience in the sales lifecycle (from either end). Principal Duties: Design RTLS networks, including locators, beacons, access points and associated equipment. Conduct and document RTLS surveys to implement and support WLANs effectively. Utilise your expertise in wireless networking to troubleshoot and resolve remote problems. Provide remote support via phone, web, and email, addressing issues faced by our RTLS and Wi-Fi customers and partners. Collaborate with the Professional Services team to coordinate end-to-end testing of new software and hardware solutions, ensuring optimal RTLS performance. Test interoperability with partner solutions, including various WLAN infrastructures such as Cisco, Aruba, Aerohive, and HP, as well as hardware solutions like VoIP, MSE, and UCM. Gather valuable product and customer feedback, working closely with Engineering, Professional Services, and Support teams to contribute innovative ideas for product development. Assist in creating technical documentation to enhance knowledge sharing and support resources. Core Competencies Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Wireless LAN, including hands-on implementation and support of 802.11 technology. Familiarity with Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) tracking is a plus. Knowledge of the Ekahau Site Survey tool for WLAN design and support is advantageous. Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts and wireless security features, such as Access-lists, WPA/WPA2, AES-CCMP, 802.1X/EAP, and PEAP. Proficient in utilising various networking tools and applications. Experience working with enterprise-scale networking, information security, and/or Real-Time Location technology is beneficial. Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer satisfaction. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Technical Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in confidently presenting technical solutions to various audiences. Excellent customer engagement and relationship-building skills. Ability to discuss Enterprise Software Solutions effectively. Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide On-Site Installation, Validation and Testing of Wi-Fi and RTLS Systems. Provide Multi-Level Support and Troubleshooting for Partner Channels. Communicate customer needs to software and hardware designers. Ability to work under pressure and independently with significant attention to detail. Ability to work on RTLS and Wi-Fi designs to ensure the installations are consistent with where the hardware is shown on maps. Maintain customer rapport by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods and techniques.
