JOB SUMMARY

This role offers the opportunity to drive optimization initiatives across the business units by assisting with the rollout of the company's digitization efforts. The incumbent will identify areas for potential improvement and assist in developing solutions that will improve efficiency or productivity. The Process Automation Analyst will be required to interface between operations personnel, third party suppliers, and back-office staff to streamline processes and eliminate inconsistencies across the organization. This position will not only be tasked with delivering valuable insights through data analysis but will also assume a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the company's digital ticketing infrastructure. Electronic field ticketing (EFT) is the process used to confirm services and/or goods electronically with validated coding at the time the service is performed to facilitate accurate and timely cost capture and invoicing. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the company's EFT and Pricebook processes and procedures. Collaboration with many varied user communities is critical to the success of this role. This role will ensure data quality and visibility into critical operational data.

Job requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead role in building and maintaining the company's digital ticketing and invoice automation processes, emphasizing data integrity.
  • Monitoring and analysis of ticket and invoice related workflows, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Supports the design and testing of the system with a focus on business objectives and end user experience.
  • Document business plan requirements for requested projects and understand various stakeholders that could be impacted.
  • Facilitates design sessions on items of moderate complexity, lead and review the development of design specs and configuration iterations, participating in the solution and validating/approving prior to deployment.
  • Analyzes impact of configuration, including system performance. Leads meetings to resolve priority issues of moderate complexity.
  • Follows and may make suggestions to any established requirements gathering process. Coordinates with Automation developers, digital and business.
  • Collaborates with Business Units, Process Owner(s) and SMEs. Provides consultative advice on moderately complex issues to Finance/People functions and relevant detailed documentation.
  • Identify application changes and partner with the Business Units and Change Management (OCM) team to support the creation of change impact materials (job aids, training, FAQs, communications, etc.)
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and objectives, utilizing digital tools and integration solutions to gather real-time data for insightful analysis.
  • Communicates directly with suppliers to ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Updates, analyzes, and troubleshoots issues with third party suppliers' product and price catalogues. Reports key performance metrics and drives accountability with supplier community.
  • Works with supply chain to support the achievement of group cost reduction goals. Knowledge with Spotfire is an added benefit to help evaluate / build dashboards for metrics.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Operations / business / financial knowledge: Working knowledge and understanding of oil & gas operations that can be translated into practical and impactful value to the company.
  • Technology and software experience: Track record of administration, upgrading and enhancing business process solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, with an emphasis on Excel and data management skills. Working knowledge of oil and gas software packages, such as OpenInvoice, Oracle, and Spotfire
  • Collaboration: Ability to partner with stakeholders (e.g., Digital, Finance, People, Area) and other functions for the success of the Company and project focusing on the greater good of the Company, its employees, and customers.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize and tailor moderately complex material into simple and easily digestible content by experts and non-experts alike, including Corporate and Area stakeholders, and potentially the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will have a track record of proactively speaking up and constructive dissent, where a contrarian opinion is held.
  • Fact and data-driven approach: Track record of relying on facts and data to drive action, as opposed to over-relying on instinct, gut feeling, experience, or opinion. The successful candidate will have a track record of frequently using data, to overcome confirmation bias thereby ensuring the right decision is ultimately made even where counterintuitive


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

4 Year / Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor's degree in a technical field highly preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

3-5 years

Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil & gas industry preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Percent of Travel Required: Less than 5%; Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.
