To provide high quality Infectious Diseases and General Medicine specialist care through participation in: inpatients, outpatients and Hospital in the Home clinical services at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital (RDPH). Supervision and teaching of junior staff, continuous quality improvement activities and active involvement in departmental professional development opportunities is an integral part of this role. In addition to clinical service this position will have a specific role providing medical governance support to the Hospital in the Home service and contributing to service and guideline development

About the role
Support Eastern Health Fleet’s strategic direction and initiatives;
Manage and support the current use of vehicles while focusing on their effective and efficient utilisation;
Monitor and Report on fleet telematics, performance indicators, standards and benchmarks and prepare regular financial and statistical reports for the Executive;
Manage and maintain paper and computerised fleet management records including vehicle utilisation history, system documentation, accident and insurance reports, correspondence and all other project matters;
Manage and maintain the register of fleet users and support in users training and to resolve all their queries including statutory requirements if any in a timely manner;
Under the direction of both the Director Asset Management and Vehicle Fleet Manager implement work methods, emergency/accident breakdown procedures, fuel administration and guidelines to improve the efficiency of the fleet’s utilisation;
Support in the invoice process for Fleet in accordance with established procedures and guidelines;
Assist in the development of Eastern Health’s Asset Management Accountability Framework (including providing input into the Fleet’s Asset Management Plan);
Co-ordinate, in conjunction with department, scheduled maintenance, routine repairs and accident repairs for pool vehicles;
Ensure all damage is reported to the Insurer, all paperwork completed and vehicles returned in roadworthy condition;
Support department heads with vehicle selection with VicFleet leases;
Support the timely disposal of owned and leased vehicles and their replacements with VicFleet;
Provide reporting on Greenhouse emissions to the Environmental Sustainability Committee and for the annual sustainability report;
Support and manage the review of internal and external courier usage within Eastern Health;
To undertake any other ad-hoc duties/responsibilities relating to fleet asset management as requested by both the Director of Asset Management and Vehicle Fleet Manager.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Knowledge of operations of a large vehicle fleet including working with motor vehicle dealerships and repairers;
Demonstrate the ability to use computerised fleet management systems or equivalent;
Ability to prepare reports, correspondence and financial and statistical information;
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, utilising time management skills, with an ability to work to a deadline;
Good interpersonal and telephone skills;
Effective communication skills, both written and oral;
Demonstrate customer service focus;
Relevant Diploma / Bachelor degree or higher
Proficient Microsoft Power App and Power BI
