We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join Sydney Children's Hospitals Network’s (SCHN) Communications and Engagement Directorate. In a collaborative and supportive environment, you will work to profile SCHN as leaders in paediatric health care. Working with a variety of stakeholders you will manage audience specific content across intranet, websites, publications, and social media. Experience in maintaining a vibrant digital presence for priority projects and campaigns is key to this position. This is an exciting opportunity for a digital communications professional seeking new challenges.

What you'll be doing

The Communications and Engagement Directorate is responsible for implementing the communication, media and engagement strategies, maximising positive communication opportunities, and promoting the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), its facilities and associated institutions.
The Digital Content Officer supports the Brand and Digital Manager and wider Communications and Engagement Directorate to raise the profile of SCHN through its digital channels, both internal and external.
This role is responsible for facilitating the publication of online content to deliver relevant, accurate, trustworthy and timely information to all target audiences, ensuring ease of access.

  • Experience in using website Content Management Systems (CMS), including background in web writing and editing.
  • Ability to create and manage innovative web-based information that is engaging, relevant and user friendly for the community and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to web-based policies, standards and guidelines across SCHN.
  • Ability to provide advice to content owners regarding design, navigation and accessibility of content to enhance end-user experience.
  • Demonstrated high-level time management, organisational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
  • High level attention to detail and ability to prioritise and deliver multiple tasks on brief and within deadlines.
  • A degree in digital communications, social media, equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
