JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role

The Health Trend Solutions team partners with and supports business units across the organization to drive initiatives that result in cost savings with the goal to keep the health plan accessible and affordable to all members. The Program Manager Clinical, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Program and Project Management Clinical. In this role you will manage a portfolio of complex projects and programs, developing project summaries, implementation plans, business cases and other program artifacts while facilitating assigned business units’ initiatives that drive cost of healthcare savings from ideation through implementation.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including requirements gathering, business case creation, and implementation
Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model
Lead ideation and trend analysis efforts for assigned programs and lines of business
Review program budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution process
Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues, while promoting collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
Support and coach project managers within the program, while providing technical and clinical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of programs, projects, and initiatives
Provide ongoing program and project status updates and other presentations to all levels of leadership across the organization
Manage program-level risks and interdependencies
QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
Master’s degree preferred
Advanced knowledge of project management principles (Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
Project Management certification preferred
Requires active and unrestricted clinical licensure in the State of California (LVN, RN, NP, PA)
Requires strong professional level of knowledge including but not limited to clinical evaluation, medical record review, clinical standards of care, and pharmacy and therapeutics standards
Requires advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency with PowerBI preferred

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $109,120.00 to $163,680.00 for California.

Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Due to the current public health emergency in California, Blue Shield employees are almost all working remotely. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
