We're seeking an accomplished individual to fill the role of Associate Dean of Health Sciences, collaborating closely with the Dean of the College of Health Sciences. This pivotal position is instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality and operational efficiency of our esteemed College. The successful candidate will provide dynamic leadership, guiding the College towards excellence in all endeavors.


Key responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, and refining both existing and prospective programs to uphold the highest standards. The Associate Dean will play a central role in securing and maintaining program accreditations, conducting rigorous program assessments, and ensuring the continuous enhancement of curricular quality. Moreover, the incumbent will drive strategic initiatives aimed at boosting undergraduate and graduate enrollment, thus contributing to the sustained growth and vitality of the College.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Managing program officials in the content area to ensure compliance with program policies and ensuring usage of consistent curriculum and assessment of course/program resources are updated and implemented as outlined for each program.



  • Leading content experts in developing, implementing and maintaining curriculum in the programs that respond to community needs, prepares students for success and meets the external requirements of specialized accrediting bodies.



  • Leading, achieving, and maintaining program compliance with regulatory and specialized program accreditation standards.



  • Leading development and implementation of key performance indicators relative to driving continuous improvement through both assessment processes and curricular efforts.



  • Ensuring compliance and submittals of programmatic annual assessment reports (i.e. Program/College retention; Program/College enrollment; Graduate Employment Percentage; Related Employment Percentage).



  • Representing the college to key constituencies, including various local and state groups, to continually elevate the visibility and image of the College in the community.



  • Organizing, facilitating and convening program advisory board committees.

  • Maintaining and supporting programmatic community partnerships.

  • Assisting with increased internship opportunities within the community by maintaining a quality educational presence.

  • Assist the Dean in resolving student concerns in accordance with institutional and program policies.

  • Articulating the goals of the College in conjunction with the long-range plans of the institution.

  • Teaching in the content area of expertise in order to keep current in learning environments.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate for the Associate Dean of Health Sciences position holds a doctoral degree (PhD) in Educational Leadership or a relevant Academic Content Expertise such as Business, Information Systems, Nursing, Psychology, or a closely related health science field. However, we will also consider candidates with a Master's Degree who are actively pursuing a Doctorate Degree in a closely related health science field. Additionally, candidates should bring a minimum of five years of experience in higher education, demonstrating a progressive trajectory of responsibility. Within this experience, at least three years should have been spent in leadership roles, showcasing the ability to provide strategic direction, foster collaboration, and drive impactful change within an academic setting.
