Under limited supervision, collect and evaluate data from organizational units and prepare recommendations for deliverables including financial plans and/or financial analysis. May provide business leaders with financial forecasts to support short and long - term decision making. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct and document moderately complex financial analysis projects.

2. Interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.

3. Provide monthly revenue and/or expense analyses and reports.

4. Monitor operating budget process and allocations. Provide analysis to determine present and future performance.

5. Support the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and systems.

Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports to evaluate business performance results, including validation of results, variance analysis and key drivers of performance for decision support and general business support as assigned.

Prepare monthly presentations that report periodic business performance results.

Participate in the annual budget process, including data analysis, entry and validation.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing responsibilities as assigned, including supporting schedules and preparing journal entries.

Interact with cross-functional teams to collect financial and operational data for assigned areas of responsibility.

Fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge. Knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instruct, or coach other professionals.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Senior Management team

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.

Management Experience: N/A

Skills & Abilities: Strong skills with various Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) are essential. Experience using Power BI or Tableau is strongly preferred. Experience using large scale automated financial systems (such as Oracle), planning tools (such as Hyperion), data warehouse and query tools (such as Business Objects/Webi) is desired but not required. Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.

*Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
