The Clinic Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinic operations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, compliance with safety and quality initiatives, staff development and patient satisfaction.

  • Works closely with the Director of Operations and the Clinic Medical Director(s) to ensure that expectations of the patients and physicians are met.
  • Prepares, manages and monitors the annual budget including projecting patient levels, revenue, technical and professional fees, equipment expenditures, staff and employee growth and space needs. Researches and analyzes costs and fees and recommends changes; reviews and summarizes operating reports and statistical data and investigates and corrects variances.
  • Participates in long-range planning strategies related to revenues, human resources, facilities, services and marketing positions. Plans, develops and executes a variety of marketing analysis to determine the clinics market position; interprets findings and makes recommendations. Participates in the marketing strategies to develop programs to enhance and further develop the clinics competitive position.
  • Recommends, develops, and implements improvements for the clinic.
  • Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.
  • Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations and programs and initiates changes as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains an effective organizational structure in order to facilitate departmental goals; maximizes utilization of personnel.
  • Guides and advises employees in the more complex aspects of their work; manages the daily operations to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
  • Monitors the appointment scheduling and patient flow systems; recommends and implements revisions to ensure maximum service to patients.
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving patient satisfaction in the clinic.
  • Identifies and ensures alignment of clinic services operations and department needs to provide seamless services within and between clinics.
  • Provides education and direction to providers and staff on the organizations direction, initiatives and philosophy.
  • Supervise clinic staff, including department supervisors and operations coordinators. Makes decisions regarding employment, employee performance, compensation, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Develop, recommend and implement strategic planning as it relates to the clinic, the region, and the SMG network.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the field of ambulatory care clinics.
  • Formulate plan to meet strategic goals and coordinate with clinic management. Attend staff clinic management committee meetings.
  • Monitor overall performance of the clinic - budget, customer service, etc. - and make changes as appropriate. Handle customer complaints.
  • Demonstrate the Swedish values including patient-centered care and service; respect, caring and compassion; teamwork and partnership; continuous learning and improvement; and leadership at all times.
  • Responsible for following all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Operations and Clinical Managers to establish best practices with the Institute.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health related field or business.
  • 7 years of Physician practice management and/or clinical operations in progressively more responsible leadership/management role.
  • Financial business management and strategic development.Clinical and non-clinical administration.
  • Demonstrated track record and successful ability to work with physicians and physician groups in a collaborative manner.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
