Job Summary

Responsible for working with a development team to ensure excellent product delivery. This is an entry level position to learn the product development process. Identifies opportunities to develop and enhance the product experience, translate these opportunities into user stories, track progress of development, and monitor success as it goes into market. Under minimal to moderate guidance, determines own work priorities. Knowledge impacts multiple projects. Develops solutions relative to complex development problems; standards are frequently not available. In–depth knowledge and application of engineering methodologies; beginning to demonstrate knowledge beyond discipline. Has in–depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

About the Team:

The Network Facilities & Solutions (NFS) Product Team is looking for a Sr. Specialist, Product Management to lead key product initiatives around tools that support our Headend and Data Centers. We are a small but mighty team who support each other and lean in to achieve a common goal of enhancing our technical products to improve the overall customer experience.

What You’ll do:

Opportunity Assessment:

  • Competitive Insights: Analyze the competitive landscape (e.g., Comcast Labs, Emerging Technology) to inform long-term platform vision and strategies aligned with KPIs and market trends.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop platform strategies based on market research, performance data, and global industry trends, contributing insights to customer strategies and KPIs.

Definition & Discovery:

  • Experience & Platform Exploration: Identify and explore new experience and platform opportunities supporting Market KPIs while defining long-term visions and strategies.
  • Backlog Management: Plan and prioritize product features for development, ensuring alignment with business value and ROI alongside Product Management.

Requirements & Common Goals:

  • User-Centric Approach: Represent user insights and advocate for solutions addressing consumer pain points.
  • Experience & Platform Requirements: Translate business needs into platform requirements and priorities for Minimum Lovable Products (MLP), emphasizing privacy, security, DEI, accessibility, sustainability, and ethical design.

Design & Development:

  • Prototyping & Design: Refine prototypes, UI/UX designs, and final specifications based on MLP requirements and KPIs.
  • Product Build & Testing: Oversee integration of code into existing platforms, conduct usability and experience testing, and facilitate acceptance testing to ensure alignment with user stories and quality standards.

Product Launch & Optimization:

  • Trials & Release Management: Conduct final trials, facilitate technology and employee trials, and support Market Product Managers in release management.
  • Continuous Refinement: Drive ongoing optimization and refinement of experiences and platforms to enhance market engagement and address user feedback and errors.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Reporting & Inquiry Management: Establish reporting structures for customer behavior tracking, ensure data transparency and documentation, and manage information requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools and technologies
  • Experience in strategic planning, product management, and user experience design.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and agile methodologies.
  • This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with a strong focus on user needs and business goals, capable of driving innovation and continuous improvement in experience and platform development.
