POSITION SUMMARY: The Entry Level Lab Technician is responsible for conducting analytical data to assist with product and process samples from several departments such as Operations, Engineering, and Environmental.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Basic wet chemistry testing such a pH, conductivity titrations, and gravimetric analysis.
• Use of instrumentation including Densitometer, Mercury CVAA, and a spectrophotometer
• Preparation and normalization of reagents
• Certification and release of chemical shipments in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Calibration of laboratory equipment
• Data Entry using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Maintain a lab notebook
• Use standard operating procedures to complete analysis.
• Use basic algebra to complete stoichiometric calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High School or Equivalent required
• Technical or related degree preferred
• Laboratory experience a plus
• Ability to work day and night shifts
• Ability to stand for at least two (2) hours at a time
• Ability to lift, carry and transport 50Ibs
• Attention to detail
• Clear, concise communication
• Organizational skills
• Willingness to learn
• Able to work with a sense of urgency
