About the Job:
The position of Billing Specialist will have primary responsibility for invoicing freight bills to include accurate and timely entry into the FileMaker system, reviewing Bill of Ladings for accuracy and completeness.
In This Role, You Will:
- Entry of all received freight bills into the AI Detail screen of the customized software system
- Accurately enter proper freight destination and billing information for proper invoicing and delivery
- Capture OS&D, warehouse notations and correct any data entry information throughout multiple company programs
- Apply appropriate rates, per the customer rate proposal
- Work with Pricing when rates are not established via email and ensure updates are made in Rate Database
- Professionally interact with internal and external customers
- Assist with logout of sailing packets
- Assist with scanning bills of lading into software system
- All other duties and projects as assigned

Required:
- Ability to type a minimum of (35) words per minute, 10 key and a high level of accuracy is required.
- Mid to high level knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word operating systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Effectively communicates with customers and coworkers by providing accurate, courteous, and timely responses to questions or concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of three years of customer service experience is required.
Location:
This is an in-office role based in Fullerton, CA.
Compensation:
As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
The pay for this role is: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
