Summary of Position
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of the Graduate School, this position oversees all centralized graduate student recruitment activities. Working closely with campus stakeholders including Academic colleges, Marketing, UNH Online, Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), Enrollment Management, Registrar Office, and the ETS Enterprise CRM Services Team this position is responsible for executing data-driven recruitment strategies to meet UNH's graduate enrollment goals. A key component of this position is the ability to implement an inclusive strategic recruitment plan that includes a wide variety of tactics including events (online and face-to-face), welcoming communications campaigns, and efficient onboarding processes.

Duty/Responsibility
Implementation of Recruitment Strategy

  • Develop, coordinate and attend recruitment fairs, information sessions, webinars, electronic correspondence communications and other initiatives to best support the strategic recruitment efforts of the UNH Graduate School.

  • Provide support and initiative with international recruitment, point of contact for Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) and Enrollment Management.

  • Manage and help train UNH-contracted international educational agents and work collaboratively to develop successful international recruitment strategies.

  • Manage inquiry outreach and engagement, application nurturing and event support efforts for Graduate Programs who do not currently have dedicated staff, to help them reach their enrollment goals.

  • Support prospective students through the inquiry, application and enrollment phases through personalized communications, phone calls, video conferencing and campus tours (upon request).

  • Manage the UNH participation and use of large lists of potential students, including those from the National Name Exchange and McNair Program.

  • Support the target student audiences important to overall graduate education including student athletes, Fulbright Scholars, Accelerated Master's, benefitted USNH staff, and other special student populations.

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, schedule work and determine priorities for assigned personnel.

  • Help lead and build a spirit of collaboration across the Admission and Recruitment team

  • Participate in the hiring, evaluation, performance intervention and retention of staff members in the office as needed, and make appropriate recommendations to the Graduate School deans.








Duty/Responsibility
Collaborations and Other Duties

  • Lead the Recruitment Team of cross-university staff. Provide updates and recommendations on strategic initiatives and learning opportunities for all Grad Recruitment Team stakeholders across the University.

  • Coordinate with other university offices (e.g. Enrollment Management, UNH Online, Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), Student Affairs) to support and implement ongoing holistic UNH-wide strategic enrollment plan.

  • Respond to and resolve problems of program participants through vocational, career and academic counseling including secondary program and program transfers within the University.

  • Coordinate with graduate admissions team to collect, summarize, and analyze admissions and recruitment data in service of academic units and their enrollment goals.

  • In collaboration with Central Marketing, work to develop recruitment materials, signage, print pieces and other educational materials for publication and distribution.

  • Other duties as assigned by the deans of the Graduate School.
