Job Summary


Install, maintain and repair of various electronic components and equipment in providing technical support to a unit's electronic hardware and related systems. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit staff and management, supervisor and co-workers. This position typically will advise and counsel: lower level technicians.


Responsibilities


Job Duty 1 -
Perform maintenance on various electronic components in accordance with preventive maintenance schedule and procedures.

Job Duty 2 -
Troubleshoot electronic equipment to detect sources of malfunctions; determine required corrective action and perform required repair/replacement work.

Job Duty 3 -
Perform installation of new or repaired equipment.

Job Duty 4 -
Initiate and maintain documentation associated with duties.

Job Duty 5 -
Perform calibration and test procedures.

Job Duty 6 -
Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.

Job Duty 7 -
May provide work direction to lower level technicians.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience


Preferred Qualifications


Preferred Educational Qualifications
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or two years college course work

Additional preferred skills include: ability to solder electronic circuits and assemblies, IPC/J-STD certifications, use of electronic test equipment, good understanding of electrical schematics, and a good understanding of electrical and/or mechanical drawing packages (Altium, Solidworks)


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge and skills in the operation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment. Additionally the use of various hand and power tools, reading schematics and drawings, use of specialized computer applications is required.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $39,040 - $51,082.
Salary grade for this position is S4
