Metalis are currently supporting a leading inspection company who are at the forefront of quality checking aerospace components.
Working in a clean environment, our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team.
Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the aerospace inspection facility. This is an entry-level, unskilled position that involves various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the testing/quality processes.
A desirable qualification for this role is a Forklift Truck (FLT) counterbalance license.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the movement and handling of materials within the production area, ensuring that components are transported safely and efficiently.
Operate machinery and equipment under the guidance of skilled technicians, contributing to the production of aerospace NDT inspection components.
Collaborate with the quality control team to perform basic inspections of components, reporting any deviations or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the production area. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns promptly.
Person Specification and experience:
Forklift Truck (FLT) License: Desirable. A valid FLT counterbalance license is a plus.
No specific experience required; however, any previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
